Find a nice open space and create an area that includes a start point and an end point. Lay a set of tokens or keys, it could also be any other object, about 5m from the allocated area. The ‘Security Guard’, who is blindfolded, must prevent all other members from retrieving the tokens, keys or object.
First, choose a member of the group to be the Security Guard. This person will then seat themselves in the center of the designated area, the props nearby. Everybody else must now try to steal the tokens, keys or objects from the Security Guard. The Security Guard’s responsibility is to prevent this from happening.
The participants can only move once the facilitator gives them permission to do so. The facilitator only needs to point a finger at a participant, who can then make a move. Once giver permission, they must attempt to retrieve the objects. The moving player must return to their place, once the Security Guard points out their position. To make the challenge easy to understand, have only one person move at a time. You can then add on more players, up to seven, who will be attempting to retrieve the items.
When somebody is successful in retrieving the items, make a change in the game. Have the participant who retrieved the items become the next Key Keeper. You could also just randomly select somebody else to take up the role. Continue until everybody has had the chance to be the Key Keeper.
