A fun game which requires players to turn off touch lights mounted on a wall by tossing bean bags at them. The goal is to turn all of the lights off before the minute is up.

The Goal of Punch Your Lights Out Minute to Win It Game

In this game, the contestant has to throw a beanbag underhand to turn off about 6 to 9 sensor lights. If even a single one is turned back on, the contestant has to try to turn it back off within the time frame.

  • 6 Battery Operated Push Lights per person or team
  • Bean Bags per person or team

How to Play Punch Your Lights Out Minute to Win It Game

  1. In preparation for this challenge, the push lights should be mounted to a wall in a pyramid formation: 1 at the top, 2 below the first 1, and 3 below those 2. The bean bags are placed near the player, who should stand about 5-6 feet from the wall.
  2. When the clock starts, the player attempts to turn off the lights by tossing bean bags at them. The goal is to turn off all of the lights before the time is up.

The Rules of Punch Your Lights Out Minute to Win It Game

  1. Prior to game start, the contestant must have hands at sides.
  2. Once the game begins, the contestant must throw beanbags from the same hand underhanded, one at a time from the designated zone.
  3. To complete the game, all lights on the board must be off concurrently within the 60- second time limit. Any beanbag released within the 60-second time limit may count toward completion of the game.
  4. If a switch is switched on again from another throw, that light switch needs to switch off again

Some useful tips

  1. Be careful when tossing these bean bags! Hitting a light a second time can turn it back on so that the challenge requires more time to complete.
  1. While there’s no need to throw the bean bag as hard as you can, it will require a sound toss in order to turn the light off.
